Tien Thuc Thuy Nguyen of Vietnam was crowned Miss Grand International 2021

Tien Thuc Thuy Nguyen of Vietnam was crowned Miss Grand International 2021 at the end of the grand coronation night, with Stephanie Mercedes Medina of Ecuador and Lorena Gonçalves Rodrigues of Brazil finishing first and second, respectively.

The prestigious international beauty contest, held at Show DC in Bangkok, Thailand, drew 59 delegates from around the world. Tien, the stunning queen, was crowned by Miss Grand International 2020 Abena Appiah, who had the pageant’s shortest reign in history. The show’s high point came when the top two winners’ scores were tied and they had to answer additional questions to break the tie.

The 23-year-old is a final year student of Hospitality Management, a Vatel Vietnam investor, and a co-founder of Adopt’ Vietnam.

Miss Grand International 2013 Janelee Chaparro, Miss Grand International 2014 Lees Garcia, Miss Grand International 2016 Ariska Putri Pertiwi, Miss Grand International 2017 Maria Jose Lora, and Miss Grand International 2018 Clara Sosa comprised the prestigious pageant’s judging panel for the 9th edition. Thai singer, model, actor, and television presenter Matthew Dean hosted the star-studded event.

2nd runner-up: Miss Grand Brazil 2021 Lorena Gonçalves Rodrigues
3rd runner-up: Miss Grand Puerto Rico 2021 Vivianie Diaz Arroyo
4th runner-up: Miss Grand South Africa 2021 Jeane Van Dam

Along with the fabulous performance by all the stunning contenders, Abena Appiah presented a melodious performance leaving the audience spellbound.
