The EQC Center hosts an Asian night concert to celebrate before Labor Day
Tacoma, Washington – The Thanh Pho Mua Bay concert took place at the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at 7:00 p.m. This concert was held at the EQC Event Center Building, and we were able to find it on the HeadMediaNow website, which lists the event calendar dates and locations. Thanh Hà, Đan Nguyên, Như Quỳnh, Don Hồ, Leon Vũ, Hoài Tâm, Tina Ngọc Lan, Hồ Hiệp, và ban nhạc The Mixx performed the concert. The concert is entirely in Vietnamese and features some of the world’s most popular Vietnamese pop singers. Actually, I exaggerated, a few English songs were sung by Thanh Ha, special guests Phuong Uyen, Don Ho, and Dan Nguyen.
The Performers:
The show’s MC and comedian is Nguyễn Hoài Tâm. Additionally, he was cast in Frozen II as King Runeard (Vua Runeard in Nữ Hoàng Băng Giá II, 2019). The irony is that Hoai Tam believes I am Cambodian, which would explain why I don’t speak Vietnamese and am trying to learn it. Actually, I’m Vietnamese, and while I speak and understand it, my fluency isn’t quite there yet.
Ngoc Lan has had considerable success as a singer. Ngoc Lan particularly shone in the grand finale of the Miss Vietnam World 2016 pageant, which took place on June 18, 2016, in Southern California, USA, because of her endearing voice. She received the trophy for “Talented Contestant who Sings Best Lyrical Music.” She currently works for the label Asia Entertainment and is resigned in California.
Leon Vu started a career as a professional singer in 2003. Techno and new music were his first musical loves. To become a professional singer MC, Leon Vu overcame language hurdles brought on by leaving Vietnam at a young age. He sang a range of Vietnamese genres, including young music, folk music, lyrical music, and the most outstanding song, bolero music. Many viewers have learned that this appealing male singer with two Vietnamese and American ancestries has a warm, smooth, deep voice that is full of charm and have grown to love Leon Vu.
Dan Nguyen has performed in front of sold-out Vietnamese audiences across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Dan Nguyen is also a talented songwriter, having written several popular Vietnamese ballads including Chuyện Tình Không Dĩ Vãng, Tôi Vẫn Cô Đơn, Một Lòng Yêu Em and Dòng Máu Việt Nam. When he was 16, he began competing in singing competitions held in Vietnamese communities in Southern and Northern California, as well as in Washington state. In total, he won the first prize trophy in four of the six competitions he entered.
Nhu Quynh appeared in a few music videos for the label. In Asia Productions’ music video series, audiences were drawn to her sweet singing voice as well as her physical attributes. The two songs that launched Nhu Quynh into the spotlight would also become her signature songs throughout her career. The first of these two songs were Nguoi Tinh Mua Dong, which appealed to a younger audience and helped Nhu Quynh gain many new fans. The other, Chuyen Hoa Sim, became a superstar after appealing to a massive global audience of Vietnamese music fans.
Don Ho consistently reigned as the top Vietnamese male vocalist, with skyrocketing album sales, sold-out live shows all over the world, and a massive fan base that grew with each unforgettable appearance in the Paris By Night music video series. Don Ho is without a doubt one of the most sought-after musical performers to have ever graced the Paris By Night stage, with a 15-year professional association with Thuy Nga Paris. No other overseas Vietnamese male vocalist has ever had such an impact on the Vietnamese music industry, particularly among the younger generation of overseas Vietnamese. Dancing All Night, Trai Tim Mua Dong (Winter’s Heart), Tinh Nhat Phai (Caravan of Life), and I Who Have Nothing are some of his most popular signature songs.
Thanh Ha made her debut on the international stage as the protagonist in Thuy Nga’s novel Paris By Night 31, which was well-received by numerous audiences. She has been singing for almost 20 years and has performed in numerous programs for numerous different music venues and released numerous worthwhile products. Thanh Ha continues to perform with Thuy Nga Center right now. There have been two Music Box shows held to showcase this duo. Thanh Ha is believed to have had a fantastic duet with Don Ho during her partnership with Thuy Nga Center. Thanh Ha’s former boyfriend, Roland Casiquin Jr., is a Filipino man. After more than ten years of dating, the two abruptly called off their wedding in early February 2022. She officially announced her romantic relationship with musician Phuong Uyen on February 14, Valentine’s Day. In June of that same year, Phuong Uyen and Thanh Ha released their album “Có Nhau Có Cả Thế Giới.”
The Photos:
Whether it’s time for a performance or for photography, it will be captured as we see it. Why do I take concert photos? The ability to remember a concert that I photographed will prevent it from being lost in time. A photograph is a forgotten memory that has been preserved for many years in the digital environment (HeadMediaNow.com). This is my camera setup and gear. I have a 70-200mm F2.8 lens on my Canon 80D. This is the camera setting I use the majority of the time: Manual Mode, shuttle speed 1/125, constant F stop 2.8, ISO 800 to 1250, 1pt AF, and in the RAW file.
The Evaluation:
Emerald Queen Event Center, a modern indoor event venue, can seat over 1800 concertgoers in stadium-style seating. The seating arrangement is as follows: VIPs sit in front of the stage with a dancing floor, while non-VIPs sit in the back. The dancing area is too small, and the program is too short, according to two complaints I saw on social media. Personally, I don’t dance; I’d rather do without it entirely. However, Seattle concert fans enjoy dancing. Thus, having it is cool. The program is brief because I am accustomed to longer programs. Others, on the other hand, grow tired of the lengthy program.
The Conclusion:
As the concert comes to a close, I realize how unique each song was. The Music Pops performed a variety of music at various rhythms and with varying melodies that were interesting enough to keep an audience member listening throughout the entire concert. All of the songs triggered different emotions and were influenced by various backgrounds and themes. Overall, I was able to utilize this concert to the best of my abilities and broaden my musical listening experience.
