Partner of NFL Organizations Vegas Super Bowl Pregame Warm-up invitation for a Vietnamese musician
The first Vietnamese singer in history, Tuan Hung, has been asked to play at the Super Bowl Pregame Warm-up in Las Vegas the following year.
Hung responded to a Facebook post on Sunday confirming his invitation to the Super Bowl pre-show.
He told the media that he received the invitation from the Vegas Super Bowl Pregame Warm-up two weeks ago, but that he had to hold off on making the announcement until he had signed the contract.
The Super Bowl is the NFL championship game, featuring the best athletes on earth. When I’m invited, I sometimes still question whether I’m dreaming and don’t know why I was asked, Hung told Thanh Nien Newspaper. I am incredibly pleased to have received the invitation to perform there as the first Asian and Vietnamese musician.
The public always looks forward to Super Bowl performances, whether it’s the pre-game or the main show.
Hung admitted to feeling under pressure and that he would need to prepare thoroughly with the help of many specialists to deliver a performance that fit the event as a whole.

“When I announced this, many people thought I’d definitely have to sing in English. But I don’t think the show’s producers would want us to since it would be the same as inviting an American performer,” he remarked. “I hope to bring Vietnamese music to a wider audience, and even if they don’t understand the lyrics, I hope to put on an impressive performance with the melody and the story of Vietnam.”
On February 9, 2024, the Super Bowl Pregame Warm-up is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, with an estimated 10,000 spectators present. Super Bowl LVIII, the American football championship game for the 2023 NFL season, will take place on February 11 and this is a pregame event.
