ERIK, an international pop artist, makes his highly anticipated debut at iLani
The Tết Phát Tài concert took place at Ilani Casino & Resort to mark the Lunar New Year 2024, known as the “Year of the Dragon.” It was a fantastic evening filled with Vietnamese singers from various genres, headlined by the highly accomplished Vietnamese pop artist ERIK. The show also featured a talented lineup of Paris By Night performers, such as Duong Trieu Vu, Dan Nguyen, Nguyen Hong Nhung, Diem Suong, and the comedic duo Van Son and Bao Liem. Alex Kong performed the Chinese lyrics during the event.
About 2,500 people attended the Tết Phát Tài concert at ilani. It was anticipated that the concert would end by 11:30 p.m., with a start time of 9:00 p.m. But it took longer than expected, concluding at 11:57 p.m.
Furthermore, the dragon dance was held from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. We regretfully were unable to attend.
When ERIK performed his famous hit song, Ghen, without Min, his duet partner, the audience reacted enthusiastically. The song has accumulated a staggering 143 million views on YouTube.
While Erik was performing, the presence of numerous tables in front of the stage made it challenging for the singer and fans to interact. Nevertheless, Erik took the initiative to step down onto the floor and walk around to greet his fans while continuing to sing.
One of the attendees expressed that he was great! Super nice guy to the audience too. He kept telling people to be careful not to fall over.
Erik, originally from Hanoi, Vietnam, was the initial member to join MONSTAR. Prior to joining the group, he had already established a successful solo career. In 2017, Erik decided to leave MONSTAR due to personal reasons. Throughout his career, he has received numerous awards, such as the “Green Wave Awards,” the “Yan Vpop 20 Music Award,” and the “Zing Music Award.” Despite a lack of support from his family, Erik is now pursuing his solo career with a different company.
